| In St Mary's, pupils follow a broad and balanced curriculum which provides a coherent link between primary and secondary school. In implementing the Education Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 1989, we hope to provide for pupils at Key Stages 3 and 4 a curriculum which will prepare them for adult life.

St Mary's has a long tradition of Post 16 provision and in recent years the school has been gradually expanding its Post 16 provision. It is our intention to continue to extend the range of Post 16 courses encompassing a wider range of 'A' Level and AVCE/VCE courses. The following courses are currently on offer: Pupils here have access to studying many other subjects through our involvement in the Lecale Learning Community (LLC) St Mary’s is one of seven Post Primary Schools working together under the umbrella of the LLC. To facilitate full access to the Entitlement Framework at Post 16, St Mary’s High School, De La Salle High School and St Patrick’s Grammar School are collaborating to allow students from each of the schools access to their Post 16 courses. Teachers of selected subjects at KS4 and Post 16 will be working from September 2010 to produce on-line resources to enhance the Teaching and Learning in their schools. Staff from St Mary’s chair the Pastoral and Careers Working Groups within the LLC.
