Coders of the future

23rd Jun 2017

Our students recently took part in an ICT coding event as part of Shared Education, this was a follow up from a coding trip in June to Stranmillis Teacher Training College. This event involved all students enagaging in shared learning with their peers from all 3 schools - Blackwater Intergrated College, St. Mary’s High School and the De La Salle High School. It was a learning experience of a life time.

During the event, students were innovative, creative, problem solvers, team players etc. Learning programming during events such as this helps students to solve everyday problems and get set up for a lifetime of opportunities. Special thanks to Mr Ian Simons for attending the event to award some of our best coders with a new copy of his book “Go Beserk 2” and many thanks to all staff members involved from all 3 schools. Many congratulations to all 3 lucky winners.
