Giacometti inspired sculptures by Year 9 and Year 10

14th May 2020

Pupils worked on quick figure sketching to observe proportion and different postures. Then they learnt about the work of the Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti. After that they used tin foil to recreate on of their sketches. They then studied the work of contemporary photographers to get ideas about how to compose their photographs, considering background, shot size and angle. Finally the pupils took their photographs in various locations around their homes and uploaded their work to Google Classroom. The pupils produced some fantastic pieces of work! Well done to everyone who got involved.
