Year 10 mini enterprise class see a gap in the market!

15th Nov 2021

Ms Curran’s Year 10 Mini Enterprise students have been hard at work setting up and running their own business which was originally going to be called Choccy Bugs!  However, after evaluating and reviewing how things were progressing, the students decided to change the name of their business to Rockies.  Their mini enterprise task involved sourcing rocks and stones and designing them to meet consumer requirements.  The unique selling point for this product was that it was more than a painted stone.  It could be used as a door stopper, paper weigh, garden ornament etc.

From completing this task our students have gained many things.  Student entrepreneurs can walk away with 100 percent of their experiences and, without a doubt, develop an entrepreneurial mind-set. Ms Curran firmly believes that the most valuable asset of being an entrepreneur is the outlook that comes along with it. Opening a business provides students with a propensity to recover quickly from failure, hunger for innovation and ambition to strive for their goals, along with their businesses aims and objectives. These qualities are indispensable in this world and will make student entrepreneurs a valuable asset to their future employers and the world around them.

Ms Curran is extremely proud of her students and the effort that was made.  All money raised will be going towards the NI Hospice “Kindness Counts”.
