We recently visited Belfast Zoo for an educational discussion delivered by Mr John Fisher from the Education team at Belfast Zoo. It was the perfect place to bring Business Studies Unit 1 Exploring Business content to life learning about: ownership and liability, stakeholders and their influence and organisational structure. The interactive session shared commercial information with the students and raised awareness and understanding of the modern-day Zoo.
The Travel and Tourism group are currently completing Unit 3 Principles of Marketing. They received further information on the role of marketing, how this influences customers and an insight into the Zoo’s primary and secondary research methods. The Education team at the Zoo concluded by giving the experience to hold a snake which certainly ended the session in a memorable way! Both groups had the opportunity to explore the Zoo to experience the visitor attraction on what was a gorgeous sunny day.
