Democracy Award for the 'Make Your Mark' campaign

On Thursday 30th January, students and staff attended an event in the Newry Mourne and Down Council Chamber in Downpatrick.

The school collected the Democracy Award  in recognition of the school's recent participation in the UK Youth Parliament 'Make Your Mark' campaign.

Post 16 students who attended the event and who were responsible for coordinating the vote in the school last term also received certificates for their efforts.

A good example of how 'Pupil Voice' can make a difference
