Mrs McCann's Yr14 Sociology class, accompanied by Mr Kelly, attended Downpatrick Court recently as part of their Crime & Deviance Module . Mr Alan Maguire, Court Administrator along with Mr Sean Teer, Downpatrick Court Manager, provided a guided tour of the building and spoke at length to the students regarding the procedures of the court service.
County Court Judge, Judge Miller also took time to speak to the students and answered questions relating to judiciary. To cap of a very informative day Mrs Laura Levers KC, Senior Prosecutor and Defense Barrister Mr Tom McCreanor BL, conducted a mock trial for the students and took time to answer questions.
