Return to School Arrangements Year 12, 13 & 14 - March 22nd 2021

16th Mar 2021

15th March 2021

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Years 12, 13 & 14 - Return to School Monday 22nd March 2021

I hope you and your families are all safe and well.  It seems like an eternity since your daughters were last with us in school for face to face teaching.  I know that our staff are really looking forward to getting the girls settled back into school life.  I have no doubt the girls are excited at the prospect of seeing their friends and getting back into a sense of normality.  Your daughter’s form teacher will take her through the arrangements for the first day.

On their return to school I would just like to remind the students of the following:

  • full school uniform should be worn with black shoes
  • on arrival they will use the entrance at the Sixth Form Study and go to their form rooms for registration
  • canteen facilities will be available at lunchtime
  • the wash, mask and space still remain the most effective measures in preventing the spread of Covid-19

Face Coverings

Based on the current guidance at the time of writing this letter, it is compulsory for post- primary students to wear face coverings in the following areas:

  • in school and at drop off pick up areas unless an exemption applies
  • when moving about the school in corridors and confined communal areas (including toilets) where physical distancing is particularly difficult to maintain.
  • on public transport or school transport it is mandatory for all post-primary students to wear a mask unless they have a reasonable excuse not to.

I know that you will appreciate that school is very busy first in the morning and I would like to remind you to drop your daughter off at a safe place outside the school.

We are requesting that parents do not drive into the school grounds to drop their children off.

We will be keeping all our procedures under review. We thank you for your ongoing support as we help the girls get settled back into school life.

Yours sincerely,

Ms McLaughlin,

Principal.
