Year 12 Travel and Tourism visited Downe Travel, an award winning travel agency in Downpatrick on Monday 30 January 2023. The visit showcased Ms Marie Gallagher’s 28 years of providing a friendly and professional service to her customers.
The class are currently completing ‘BTEC Level 2 Travel and Tourism Unit 3 The Customer Experience’.
Pupils received a warm welcome at Downe Travel from Marie giving a full tour of the shop and a valuable insight to a few trade secrets! We learnt about customer service within the organisation and its importance.
To conclude the visit, information was shared regarding employment within the Travel and Tourism sector, it was clear that once you enter the Travel sector you don’t want to leave. In the future one of these girls could be planning your next getaway!
