Budding meteorologist in 8DB conducted a Microclimate Study in Geography this week, investigating several sites around our school estate.
Students had the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have been studying in class to complete this practical investigation. The students determined the cloud cover in oktas, measured temperature, wind speed and direction, and applied the Beaufort Scale to draw conclusions on the general weather conditions. Their teacher Mr Williamson was very impressed with all the students and their hard work and effort.
